English Secrets Mobile App Privacy Policy

English Secrets (“English Secrets”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides English-language courses, live classes, digital learning materials and related services through the English Secrets mobile application and the website at english-secrets.com. The mobile application is developed and maintained with KayanTech Digital System.

1. Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we may process the following information:

  • Account information: name, email address, account identifier, profile image and authentication information. Passwords are transmitted securely and are stored by our account system in protected, hashed form; the app does not display or store your plain-text password.
  • Contact and checkout information: phone number, billing address and country when needed to prepare an order or connect you to secure checkout.
  • Learning activity: enrolled courses, lesson progress, completed work, quiz responses and results, live-session availability and learning reminders.
  • Purchases and digital access: order number, order status, purchased courses or books and entitlement to protected downloads. We do not collect or store complete payment-card details in the app.
  • AI practice content: messages you choose to submit to the AI English Coach and the resulting educational feedback.
  • Voice input: microphone audio when you actively start speaking practice. Voice recognition may be processed by the speech-recognition service available on your device. We do not continuously record your microphone.
  • Live classes: information needed to show and join an assigned Zoom session. Zoom may process meeting data according to its own privacy terms when you join a class.
  • Device preferences: notification permission, reminder schedules and secure session tokens stored on your device.
  • Support communications: information you send when contacting English Secrets support.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; deliver courses, live sessions, quizzes, AI practice and digital materials; save learning progress; process and verify orders; schedule requested reminders; provide support; prevent abuse; and comply with legal and accounting obligations.

3. Service providers and data sharing

We do not sell personal information and the app does not contain third-party advertising. We share information only when needed to provide the service, comply with law, protect users or operate our business, including with:

  • our English Secrets website, WordPress, WooCommerce and learning-management systems;
  • Paymob for secure external payment processing; card information is entered on Paymob’s official page and is not collected by the app;
  • Zoom for live online classes that you choose to join;
  • the speech-recognition provider configured on your device when you use voice practice;
  • hosting, security and technical service providers acting on our instructions; and
  • authorities where disclosure is required by applicable law.

4. Data storage and security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted network connections, restricted administrative access and secure on-device storage for authentication tokens. No electronic system is completely secure, but we work to protect information against unauthorized access, loss and misuse.

5. Data retention

We retain account and learning information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request deletion, we delete or anonymize personal information unless retention is required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes. Transaction records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.

6. Your choices and rights

You can disable notifications or microphone access through your device settings. You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data by using Account → Delete account or personal data in the app, visiting english-secrets.com/account-deletion/, or emailing support@english-secrets.com.

7. Children

The English Secrets mobile app is intended for adult learners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

8. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we use appropriate safeguards for such processing.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
